Fitness assessments

It is crucial to look at each fitness clients abilities, motivations and goals in creating a personalized fitness plan. In this assignment we looked at my own abilities, motivations and goals to create a plan that would benefit all of the above.

Tracee Harris, female

Weight:186

46 years old

Goals:  losing 20 pounds of fat, getting more ripped and creating a healthier nutritional plan for

herself along with her family to follow.

Current Fitness: HITT workout 4x per week that includes cardio, weight and flexibility training. Is

Current nutrition: Fasts once a week, history of eating disorder. States she has tried every diet. Has a strong will but feels challenged at this time of life during her divorce and loss of dreams to choose wholesome foods and drinks. Currently drinks a lot of water, coffee, and beer and is eating more carbohydrates then normal.

Let us look at how to handle this client with care, concern and hope, but with a better health and fitness outlook.

CARDIOVASCULAR: Tracee is running for 2 minutes and walking for 1 for a total of 20 minutes. Tracee also loves the rowing machine. Let her work for 2500 meters done in 2 minutes 3 x per week. We will continue running in intervals and add time as we go weekly.

MUSCULAR: Tracee is comfortable at 12 pound press , fly and lateral raise 10x, so we increase to 15 pounds 8x  at 3 x per week. Squats will increase from 25 per day to 50 5x per week. Any extra muscular strength can be achieved in HITT training at her gym.

FLEXIBILITY: Tracee currently participates in myofascial release 3x per week. She regularly uses dynamic stretches for flexibility. We anticipate her flexibility will increase as her time and frequency extend as well. However, she definitely does not want to spend extra time stretching.

As we move forward with Tracee’s nutritional needs, we will incorporate a food journal, a weekly weigh in and we also will advise some help for her emotional distress during this time of life, perhaps a counselor or therapist that specializes in emotional eating, drinking and behaviors within.
